Interactive intervention modelling
An interface for network and intervention scenarios
HerdLink is a public web application connecting Dutch livestock trade networks, geographic views and disease simulations. I developed it within IMBIT to support exploration and comparison of intervention scenarios.
The implementation includes dated route and regional movement restrictions, seven scenario presets, and paired baseline and intervention comparisons. The outputs include epidemic trajectories, regional burden and retained trade.
Building usable research software
The work combines scientific modelling with interface design, automated testing and deployment. The application uses JavaScript, React, D3.js and Vite to present networks, maps and scenario comparisons in the browser.
